About

Hello — and welcome to Yummylogy. We’re an editorial site that helps home cooks find thoughtfully selected kitchen tools and gadgets without the noise of generic shopping feeds.

What we cover

Cookware, knives, blenders, mixers, scales, espresso gear, food storage, and the occasional pantry standout (think olive oils, supplements, baking staples). If it lives in or near a kitchen and a real cook would use it, it’s in scope.

How we choose what to feature

We monitor Amazon’s catalog across kitchen and food categories and curate items based on a few simple filters:

  • Real brand or known maker — not generic dropshipping
  • Substantial product information (multiple images, complete specs, clear features)
  • Categories that align with what a home cook would actually shop for

Each product gets a short editorial overview written to summarize what it’s good for and who it’s best suited to — not a sales pitch. Longer review write-ups are published on our Reviews blog.

About the affiliate model

Yummylogy is supported by the Amazon Associates Program. When you click a “Buy on Amazon” button on this site and complete a purchase, we may earn a small commission — at no additional cost to you. The price you pay on Amazon is identical whether you arrive there from Yummylogy or any other path.

We don’t process payments, ship products, or handle returns. Every transaction happens on Amazon under Amazon’s terms. Yummylogy is purely a discovery and editorial layer. Full details are in our Affiliate Disclosure.

What we don’t do

  • We don’t personally test every product. Our recommendations are based on publicly available information — specifications, manufacturer info, and our own editorial judgment.
  • We don’t accept payment from brands to promote products. Editorial selection is independent of our affiliate relationship with Amazon.
  • We don’t scrape reviews from Amazon. Star ratings and review counts shown on Amazon belong to Amazon and stay there.

SmartChoice — our ingredient scanner app

SmartChoice is our free companion app for iPhone and Android, built on the same rules engine behind the verdicts on yummylogy.com. Scan any barcode — food, cosmetics, cleaning products, supplements or pet food — and get an instant, ingredient-based verdict with a 0–100 score and the exact ingredients that were flagged, and why. Set your allergens and diets, and every scan gets a personalized read.
